If you are
considering
purchasing a used
North American
Medical Corporation
medical device, READ
THIS FIRST: |
|
|
|
New devices are sold
in the U.S. only
through
factory-authorized
distributors. North
American Medical
NEVER authorizes or
supports the sale of
its devices in the
used market by any
brokers, used
equipment dealers or
online auctions.
Consequently, if a
dealer is claiming
he is authorized to
buy and sell SPINA
System™ devices with
factory support of
any kind, this claim
is wholly untrue. |
|
|
|
Here are a few
reasons you should
always ensure your
purchase is
legitimate: |
|
|
-
North American
Medical encrypts
its software.
Only factory
service
personnel can
unlock and
access the
software to do
upgrades and
service. Service
done by outside
persons
nullifies any
potential
product
warranty,
releases the
manufacturer
from all
liability, and
may potentially
introduce bugs
to the operating
software.
-
North American
Medical
Corporation is
an FDA-regulated
facility. Our
facility is
subject to
regular and
surprise
inspections to
assure our
production and
service
personnel comply
with federal
quality
standards at all
times. Because
of budget
constraints,
private resale
and repair of
medical
equipment is
unmonitored, and
government
officials must
rely on the old
saying “let the
buyer beware.”
-
Genuine North
American Medical
replacement
parts are
available only
to equipment
owners listed in
our secure
internal
database. Parts
requests from
unauthorized
entities will
not be honored
because of the
potential risks
involved when
unqualified
persons attempt
to repair a
medical device
with which they
are unfamiliar.
-
IDD Therapy®
licenses are
non-transferable.
Therefore, any
provider who
buys a SPINA
System device
through
unofficial
channels is not
legally
permitted to
represent or
advertise IDD
Therapy
treatment. If
you are a North
American Medical
customer/doctor
privately
re-selling your
device, you may
qualify for a
one-time license
transfer,
subject to
specific terms
and conditions
(contact North
American Medical
Corporation’s
service
department for
details).
-
Manufacturer
refurbishment
standards
significantly
exceed used
dealer repair
standards. When
a device has
been in service
for several
years, there are
often minimal
repairs
necessary for
the device to
demonstrate
functionality;
however, there
are typically
more
preventative and
safety oriented
upgrades that
used equipment
dealers may
elect to ignore
for greater
profitability or
simply because
they lack the
depth of
knowledge that
our factory
engineers
possess.
North American
Medical works
diligently to
provide
state-of-the-art
devices and
quality service
to purchasers of
its products.
This
notification
should serve as
a warning to
potential buyers
to be certain
they are dealing
with authorized
distributors.
Conversely, if
you own one of
our devices and
are interested
in re-selling
with the utmost
in value, we
encourage used
equipment sales
through our
factory
Certified
Reseller
Program. Call
North American
Medical for
details on the
authorized CRP
distributor that
can purchase
your used
equipment.
-
North American
Medical
Corporation
cannot be held
responsible for
claims made by
independent or
unauthorized
equipment
dealers.
